Ghanaian musician, Deborah Vanessa Owusu Bonus popularly known as Sister Derby, has declared that she doesn’t need church because it’s boring.
In an interview with Nkonkonsa.com she stated that she doesn’t go to church because she is not a fan of it.
She also indicated that she doesn’t believe in copying people’s life as many people do in church because she can discern good from evil.
According to her, going to church has not impacted her life.
She added that praying in church everyday for the same thing as a christian is boring to her.
“I went to church when I was about to write my WAEC but [that] didn’t help me and I actually regret not focusing on my chemistry and elective maths but rather going to the chapel,” she said,
Though she does not call herself a christian, she indicated that she lives a righteous life just as much as those who tag themselves as christians .
She noted that she tries to live a good life and avoid getting herself into mess and also when it comes to work, she doesn’t leave everything to God.
Sister Derby further opined that religion is man’s creation with the intent to control people.
