The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has cautioned all travelling public to adhere to the new Covid-19 directives from the Ghana Health Service which took effect from December 14, 2021.

According to a statement released and signed by Superintendent Michael Amoako-Atta, the security service is set to implement the new directives to the fullest.

The notice said all persons 18 years and above arriving in Ghana will be required to provide evidence of full vaccination for a Covid-19 vaccine.

Again, all unvaccinated Ghanaians and residents of Ghana who are currently outside the country and intend to return within 14 days from the midnight of December 14, 2021 are exempted.

However, as indicated in the notice, they would undergo mandatory vaccination on arrival at the airport.

More so, per the notice, all Ghanaians travelling out of the country are to be fully vaccinated effective from December 14, 2021.

As per the notice, existing requirements remain unchanged; the 72-hour PCR negative test, requirement prior to travel completion of the health declaration form and all persons who arrive in Ghana undergoing Antigen test.
