A 31-year-old hunter, Yao Papa Domie is in the grisp of police in Kpeve in the Volta region for allegedly shooting a fellow hunter to death during a hunting expedition.
The incident is reported to have happened on Thursday January 6, 2022.
The suspect, who hail from Vume, a village in Kpeve revealed to the police that he mistook the victim, Eric Sonka for a game and mistakenly shot him leading to his death at the spot.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Peki Government Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
Meanwhile, the suspect Yao Papa Domie is currently assisting police investigation whilst in custody.
