According to the organizers of the event, submissions of films begin Tuesday, January 25, 2022 and is expected to last until March 31, 2022, the scheduled deadline date.

In effect interested individuals and organizations are expected to visit the BSIFF website to sign up up and submit their files for nominations.

Some of the categories for this year’s nomination include Best Documentary Film, Best Feature Film, Best Student Film, Best Women in Film , Best Music Video among others.

Meanwhile, the BSIFF in 2020 had offered Yaa Asantewaa GOETHE award valued at $1500 to Ghanaian film, “Heroes of Africa” and in 2017, the body offered the Yaa Asantewaa UNDP award valued at $3000 given to six winning film makers each.
