The Lawyer for rapper Samuel Adu, popularly known as Medikal, has beseeched the Accra Circuit Court to release the artiste’s gun to him.

According to the accused’s lawyer, Alice Nimako, Justice Emmanuel Essandoh, who presides over the court should order the prosecution to release the gun to Medikal because he needs it.

Rapper Medikal, was arraigned on October 21 and is facing charges for displaying arms and ammunition when videos of him popped up on social media.

The ‘La Hustle’ hitmaker has already pleaded “not guilty” to the charge leveled against him.

Medikal’s lawyer also prayed the court to discharge her client since the prosecution does not seem prepared or ready for the trial.

However, the prosecutor, Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey, begged the court for an extension of time to enable him to file processes, disclosures and witness statements to be served the accused.

Angel News Court Correspondent, Ama Brako Ampofo, also reported that Shatta Wale and others have also told the trial judge not to wait until the prosecution arrests the alleged people on the run before the hearing commences.

They argued that they cannot continue running to court without any course while waiting for some alleged persons on the run to be apprehended.

Both Shatta Wale and Medikal returned to court on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, and were spotted clad in black T-shirts and black short sleeves respectively.
