A 29-year-old police officer, Constable Comfort Fabiri, stationed at the Dominase District has been crushed to death by a Toyota Hiace with registration number GS4746-20.

Information available to Angelonline.com.gh indicates that the said incident occurred at dawn on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at a newly introduced check point.

The Police Service introduced the check point few weeks ago after receiving reports of several robberies on the Accra to Cape Coast Highway.

The Toyota Hiace with inscription, “Onipa trimu y3 sum” implying human beings are wicked, which was coming from Accra towards Takoradi was stopped by the police at the first check point but failed to stop.

When the vehicle got to the second check point where the deceased was stationed the driver who was speeding, ran over the constable and killed her on the spot.

According to Angel News reporter, Opanyin Darko, the officer had just been married four months ago with no child and was in her second year as an officer after police training.

The incident has brought great grief upon the family of the deceased most especially the newly wedded husband.
