A convenor of #FixTheCountry, Oliver Baker-Vormawor, has been gone on a hunger strike in order to protest what they term as a ‘false democracy’.

According to a member of the #FixTheCountry Movement, Felicity Nelson, Mr. Baker-Vormawor has refused to eat and is living on only water.

The movement stated that the hunger strike is aimed at demonstrating against the false democratic governance in the country.

Mr. Baker-Vormawor was arrested at the airport for a social media post he made threatening to plot a coup should the e-levy be passed.

The police after confirming his arrest noted that there was clear intent and willingness to execute the coup.

The movement had claimed that the whereabouts of their convenor was unknown after he was picked up; a claim the police has denied.

The police declared that the suspect’s lawyer and family had access to him therefore the public should disregard the false reports that he cannot be found.

He is expected to be arraigned before court on Monday, February 14 according to the police.
