The Ghana Police Service have debunked reports that #FixTheCountry convener, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, cannot be found.

The service in an update on the arrest of Mr Oliver Mawuse Barker-Vormawor pointed out that the story making rounds in some sections of the media that Mr Oliver Mawuse Barker-Vormawor cannot be found is false and should therefore be disregarded.

They noted that “in our press release following his arrest, we stated clearly that Mr Barker-Vormawor was arrested by the Tema Regional Police Command to assist with investigations.”

Again, their statement said “in line with our standard operating procedure, the police proactively ensured that his family and his lawyer were given access to him.”

They assured the good people of Ghana that the police will continue to follow due process in the performance of our duties.

The #FixTheCountry convenor was arrested on grounds that he was threatening to plot a coup should government pass the e-levy bill.

Members of the Movement earlier alleged that their convenor couldn’t be found after his arrest.
