A section of Afia Schwarzenegger’s sympathizers has complained bitterly about not being served food and water at Afias father’s funeral.

According to one Degraft Ama Kwakyewaa, as reported by a celebrity blogger, she was not served food nor water since the morning of the programme despite the fact that there was no food or drinks sold at the venue.

She revealed that due to a lack of water not being served at the venue, someone collapsed. She said when she reported the matter to Afia’s child, she rudely told them that “they came there to mourn and not eat.”

Ama said she made a contribution of GH₵200 yet, nothing was given her as a token of appreciation. She said in the Ashanti region, a people who understand culture and traditions, food at funeral grounds is not stored for dinner, but Afia covered the food with the intention of using it for dinner which is not the norm in Ashanti region. People went hungry.

Another agitated sympathizer added that, Afia brags a lot, however, could not organize the funeral to the standard of a typical Ashanti region funeral. She said she travelled from Buohu just to sympathize with her and also show love, but Afia’s attitude towards them was appalling.

She said Diamond Appiah and Tracey Boakye were the reason the funeral turned out beautifully. She commended them for how they spoke to them politely unlike Afia. She also took the opportunity to admonish Afia on how to train her children, especially how to talk to the elderly.

Some, however, debunked the claim that they were not served food and water. They said food and drink were in abundance and most important personalities who made big contributions requested for nothing in return.

The controversial Afia Schwarzenegger laid her father to rest over the weekend in the Ashanti region. The ceremony was graced by many celebrities, government officials and men from the clergy.
