Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday, May 8, 2022, failed to extend their lead at the Ghana Premier League summit after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Cameroonian hitman, Franck Mbella Etouga, scored the porcupine warrior’s only goal in the 39th minute in the first department of the game but missed two penalties in the second half.

Despite missing opportunities to add up to his goal-scoring tally, he still leads the top-scoring chat in the ongoing league with 19 goals, followed by Yaw Annor of Ashanti Gold with 16 and 14 by Dormaa Aduana Stars’ Bright Adjei.

The leaders who failed to increase their tally after squandering two spot-kicks, saw the Dormaa-based side score a late equalizer through talisman, Bright Adjei to leave the Baba Yara Stadium with a point.
