Nsoatreman FC becomes the latest team to secure promotion to the Ghana Premier League, after defeating Tamale City in the Division One League Zone One play-off game at the Accra Sport Stadium
The Bono Region-based side defeated the Tamale outfit 2-1 in a match that lasted 120 minutes after 1-1 in regulation time.
Nsoatreman FC and Tamale City FC both had 71 points each and also leveled on head-to-head without any difference to separate two.
Per the regulations of the National Division One League, a one off play-off match was needed to separate the two.
This means, Samartex FC, Akim Kotoku Royals and Nsoatreman FC qualify for next season’s Ghana Premier League to replace Eleven Wonders, WAFA and Elmina Sharks who have been relegated.
