The Black Starlets of Ghana have been beaten by Burkina Faso in the semi final clash of the 2022 WAFU Zone B championship.

The host suffered a 1-0 defeat to the. Burkinabe counterparts at the Cape Coast Stadium in the second semi final tie, Tuesday June 22.

The Young Stallions and the Black Starlets gave good accounts with some attacking football in the opening minutes of the game.

The first half however, ended goaless despite so much intent and purpose in search for the opener.

From recess, both teams took the game to each other and the Burkinabes won a penalty in the 63rd minute after Aboubakar Camara was brought down in the box by skipper Collins Agyemang.

Talisman, Ousmane Camara stepped up and calmly converted the kick after sending the goalkeeper to the wrong direction to hand his side the lead.

The goal that proved to be the match winner becomes Camara’s fourth goal of the competition.
