One person has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for carrying a gun at the ongoing demonstartion by pressure group, Arise Ghana.

Reports reaching Angelonline.com.gh indicates that the suspect has been sent to the police station for questioning and further action.

Angel News’ Ama Brako Ampofo reported that the man after his arrest said he is a national security operative however, it has come out that he was a former security personnel.

The man is said to have arrived at the scene of the demonstration on a motorbike.

According to Ama Brako Ampofo, the police earlier announced and cautioned that persons wielding knives or any weapons should surrender them.

The Arise Ghana demonstrators gathered at the El Wak Stadium to continue with the second day of their planned protest.

According to leaders of the protest, they are demonstrating against economic hardship because Ghanaians are suffering.
