The fixtures for the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League season is expected to be released before the end of the week, the Ghana Football Association has announced.

A communique from the GFA has said the release of the fixtures will be made official on Thursday, August 11, 2022.

It noted further that the delay in releasing the fixtures was a result of the mini-tournament played between Tamale City, Ebusua Dwarfs and Liberty Professionals to determine who would replace demoted Ashanti Gold SC.

In the said tournament, however, Tamale City emerged the winner after beating Liberty Professionals and drawing with Ebusua Dwarfs to book a place in the 2022/23 BetPawa Ghana Premier League.

“Fixtures for the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League will go public on Thursday, August 11, 2022. The delay in releasing the fixtures was as a result of the three-way club play-off which involved Ebusua Dwarfs, Tamale City, and Liberty Professionals,” the GFA’s communique said.

The 18 clubs to compete in the year’s league season consist of Accra Hearts of Oak, Accra Great Olympic, Accra Lion FC, Legon Cities, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kumasi King Faisal, Dreams FC and Akim Oda Kotoku Royals.

The rest include Dormaa Aduana Stars, Berekum Chelsea, Nsoatreman FC, Bechem United FC Samartex 1996, Bibiani Gold Stars, Karela United, Medeama SC, Real Tamale United and Tamale City.
