Ghana Premier League champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, have lost their opening pre-season friendly game in Sudan to that country’s powerhouse, Al Hilal Omdurman.
The porcupine warriors lost 2-0 with the goals coming on either side of halves in the 42nd minute and 90th minutes, respectively.

They will play two additional friendlies against Al Hilal Omdurman and Simba before returning to Ghana for the start of the 2022/23 Betpawa Ghana Premier League.
The Kumasi-based club traveled Sunday, August 21, 2022, to Sudan for their second phase of pre-season training.
