The Upper West Regional Police Command has in their custody three suspects for their alleged involvement in the murder of a Fulani herdsman, Demo Jeti.

The suspects John Dakurah, Numbuzie Chawinaa, and Tankpare Sylvester were arrested on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at their hideouts in Kuntaali Village in the region.

A Police statement on Tuesday September 6, 2022, said the suspects will be put before the court to face the law for their alleged involvement in the murder.

According to the police, its preliminary investigations indicated that the deceased who took his cattle to the Kuntaali bush for grazing on the morning of July 1, 2022, never returned although the cattle returned home alone later the same day.

“The lifeless body of the deceased was later found lying between Chari and Kuntaali village,” the statement added.

The deceased’s family has however buried the body after police handed over the body to them following an autopsy at the Wa Regional hospital.
