Accra Hearts of Oak held bitter rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko to a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Matchday three of the 2022/23 Betpawa Ghana Premier League.

Caleb Amankwa’s 88th-minute late equalizer for the phobians canceled Yussif Mubarik’s 57th minutes lead for the home side, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The porcupine warriors who played as host dominated the first half and created several goal-scoring opportunities but failed to convert them to goals.

But the reds, in the early stages of the second half, took the lead following a pressure mounted on Accra Hearts of Oak which resulted in Yussif Mubarik’s 57th-minute goal.

The defending champions could not hold on to the lead leaving Caleb Amankwa to snatch a headed equalizer in the 88th minute with a nice header through a freekick to earn them a point.

The result means Accra Hearts of Oak have managed two points from three matches whiles Kumasi Asante Kotoko picked one point after their first game with two outstanding games in hand.
