Force operating at National Security is an illegality – Asiedu Nketiah

Koku Anyidoho has accused Asiedu Nketiah of undermining the progress of the NDC

Former Director of Communications at the Presidency under the late President Evans Fiifi Atta Mills’ administration, has revealed that General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Asiedu Nketia is eyeing something greater than the national chairmanship position.

Koku Anyidoho, who once served as a deputy general secretary of the party opined that his former boss is full of greed and is scheming to attain the title ‘leader of the NDC’ hence the decision to enter the chairmanship race.

Mr Asiedu Nketia, the incumbent general secretary of the NDC recently announced that he will not seek reelection but will contest incumbent Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo for the chairmanship position in the party’s upcoming national delegates conference.

A former Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Armah Ashittey, has also joined the race for the chairmanship position.

Reacting to the development on the Anopa Bofo Morning Show, the ‘suspended’ Koku Anyidoho said, Asiedu Nketia’s decision goes beyond vying for a chairmanship as seen by many.

He alleged that the latter’s move is a well calculated plot of becoming the leader of the party in the near future hence, the means is to be elected as chairman of the party.

The Chief Executive Officer of Atta Mills Institute referenced Article 25 of the party’s constitution which states that, once the party is in opposition, the national chairman automatically becomes the leader of the party until a substantive leader is elected as flagbearer as required.

Against this background, Koku Anyidoho pointed out that Asiedu Nketiah has taken a clue from and is aimed at using that to laisse his boot to take over the leadership role of the NDC.

He mentioned that Dr. Obed Asamoah, Kwabena Adjei as well as incumbent Ofosu Ampofo have all held double positions as both chairman and leader of the NDC while in opposition.

“Do you know what he is actually looking for? he [Asiedu Nketiah] is not looking for the chairmanship position. It is the leader that Asiedu Nketiah is coveting. He wants to become leader of the NDC that’s all.

“He is power-drunk, the guy is a megalomaniac, he is power drunk and that is all what he wants” Anyidoho insinuates.

Koku Anyidoho vowed to destroy Asiedu Nketia’s dream of becoming the chairman.

The founder of the Atta Mill Institue was quick to label the former Member of Parliament of Wenchi West constituency as a bad nut within the NDC party because his utterances as general secretary divides the party.

He concluded by referring the national chairmanship hopeful as the “embodiment of anti-party conduct” in the country.
