The Chief Executive Officer of Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah, has announced that his record label signee, Kuami Eugene, has signed a deal with the American record label called Empire.

The disclosure comes to confirm rumours that the Ghanaian singer known privately as Eugene Kwame Marfo, was on the verge of exiting Lynx Entertainment, stimulated by a tweet that indicated his desire to leave someone or somewhere.

Kuami Eugene tweeted, “ I try saa say I go stay, but chaley I for leff. Suro Nipa.”

Some followers of his on social media, therefore, interpreted the tweet as suggestive of the artiste’s plans to end his relationship with Richie Mensah and Lynx Entertainment.

Despite the rumours, Richie Mensah released a statement announcing the signing of the commercially successful act onto Empire, the American record label.

According to Richie, Kuami Eugene’s new deal with the foreign record label “will see the 2020 Ghana Music Awards’ Artiste of the Year expand his horizons as he takes on the world with his music”.

He indicated that Kuami Eugene’s first song to be released under Empire is a song titled ”Single”.

Lynx Entertainment has been working closely with Empire; a leading and innovative global label, distributor, and publisher in maximizing opportunities and values for its artistes.

“Kuami Eugene’s deal emphasizes the Ghana-based label’s trailblazing role in the African music industry since 2007”, said Richie Mensah.
