Fix our bad roads or no campaign in 2024 – Wasa Juabo residents

Residents of Wasa Juabo in the Amanfi Central District of the Western Region have issued strong warnings to politicians and political parties against campaigning in the town for the 2024 elections.

This warning is as a result of the deplorable state of their roads, which have been left unworked on for a very long time now.

Speaking to Kofi Gyabaah of Angel FM some of the community members revealed that various political parties have been promising them during their campaigns about fixing their roads when they come into power but totally ignore these promises when they finally come into power.

According to the community members, they have been receiving these promises from politicians since the 1992 elections till date.

The community folks have therefore cautioned all political parties not to step foot in their community to campaign for votes in the 2024 general elections if their bad roads remain unfixed.

“All our roads are bad and we are wondering if we are a part of Ghana. They promised to put a bridge but it hasn’t been done and when it rains we cannot cross to our farms”, a farmer lamented.

Another resident added that aside the poor roads they also lack social amenities and have to go to neighbouring towns when someone is sick for medical attention.
