Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has apologised to his fans in Ghana over his inability to show up at a much-talked about concert slated for Accra over the weekend.

The Nigerian singer was supposed to perform a live concert at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana on Saturday, December10, 2022.

However, despite the massive turn-up of fans, the afrobeat singer refused to show up at the concert which left most of his fans disappointed.

But, according to the “Bad to me” hitmaker his decision not to show up was well-informed.

“Ghana is a country I hold so dear to my heart, first and foremost I wanna apologise to all my fans! Y’all know I would never do anything, without a serious reasoning behind it.

“My brand is something I don’t joke with! I sincerely apologise to everyone who made the effort to come out to me last night. I was charged up, looking forward to doing this show. However, please understand that every decision I made co-sided with honoring my fans and would only make a drastic decision like this because it was the right to do and I had to,” he tweeted.

Wizkid thus concluded that his team is working tirelessly to deliver the show for his loving fans in Ghana of which the details will soon be communicated.

Meanwhile, event promoter, LiveHub Entertainment, has promised to refund monies for all paid tickets after Wizkid failed to perform at his headline concert at the Accra Sports Stadium.
