The one-week-observation of late Ghanaian international, Christian Atsu who died in the Turkey-Earthquake, has been scheduled for Saturday, March 4, 2023.

This came to light when a delegation from the Sports Ministry and the Football Association called on the deceased family to commiserate with them, Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

The delegation was led by Executive Council Member, Nana Oduro Sarfo, Deputy General Secretary of the FA, Alexander Asante, Deputy Sports Minister Evans Bobie, and the chief protocol officer at the Youth and Sports Ministry, Diana Boateng.

The former winger was playing for Turkey’s club Hatayspor until his departure at age 31.

He also played for FC Porto, Rio Ave, Chelsea, Vitesse Arnhem, Everton, AFC Bournemouth, Málaga, Newcastle United, and Al Raed in Saudi Arabia.
