The former president’s move comes barely 24 hours after he reportedly declared his intention to contest on behalf on the ticket of the NDC in the 2024 presidential elections.

Mr. Mahama made the formal announcement following his meeting with the minority caucus at his Cantonment office in the Greater Accra region.

Following the meeting between the two parties, the minority reportedly endorsed the former president unanimously to contest the party’s presidential primaries and subsequently lead the party at the general election in 2024.
