This follows a fruitful discussion between the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), representatives of Accra Hearts of Oak SC, Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, and the National Sports Authority on Friday, February 24.

According to GHALCA, there will be penalty shootouts to determine the champion if the tie ends in a stalemate, adding that the winner of the match will be awarded three points in the betPawa Premier League.

The winner shall be presented with medals and a Trophy by the Ghana League Clubs Association and also present cash to both participating clubs.

The Presidential Cup is played annually in honour of the sitting President of Ghana. As a result, President Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to be in attendance.

Accra Hearts of Oak goes into the clash as defending Champions after beating their archrival Kumasi Asante Kotoko 2-1 in the 2022 edition.
