Ghana Education Service has respectively reinstated the interdicted headmasters of the Ghana Senior High School (GHANASCO) in the Northern Region and Fijai Senior High School in the Western Region.

The headmaster, Douglas Haruna Yakubu and the senior housemaster of GHANASCO, Seibu Fuseini were interdicted last month after a viral video showed students were using toilet cubicles as dormitories in the school.

In similar development, the headmaster of Fijai Senior High, Kenneth Agbomadze, was also asked to step aside following an alleged collection of illegal fees from students.

The GES, however, instituted various committee to investigate the matter and give their recommendations to the sector directorate at the region.

In a statement dated Tuesday, May 9, 2023, GES said upon recommendation from various stakeholders they have decided to reinstates the affected heads.

“Management wishes to announce that it has reviewed the reports of the investigative committee for Fijai Senior High School and Ghana Senior High and duly noted the finding and recommendations.

“Accordingly, Kenneth Agbomadze (headmaster Fijai SHS Sekondi), Douglas Haruna Yakubu (Headmaster Ghana Senior High, Tamale) and Seibu Fuseini (senior housemaster Ghana Senior High, Tamale) have been reinstated forthwith,” the GES statement said.
