The Director General of NLA Mr Samuel Awuku on Tuesday, May 30 2023, cut sod for the construction of an ultramodern basketball and volleyball courts for the Okuapeman school in Akropong.

This was in fulfilment of an appeal made by Osabarima Ansah Sasraku III, Mamfehene and Kyidomhene of Akuapem traditional area.

“I am excited to be here not just as a guest, but as a true son of Akuapem land and this gesture was just the beginning of the relationship between Okuapeman Senior High School and myself,” Mr Awuku said

Mr. Awuku further asked that the facility when completed be named after Osabarima Ansah Sasraku III for his exceptional leadership and commitment towards the development of the school .

The Headmaster of Okuapeman School Rev. Daniel Afari thanked Mr. Sammi Awuku for his continuous support towards education in the municipality and indicated that the facilities have come very timely, and will go a long way to serve the school and the good people of Akuapem.

On his part, Osabarima Ansah Sasraku III, was grateful for the honor done him by Mr Awuku and was quick to add that, the contractor meets the timelines so that the students benefits from its purpose.

In another development, Mr Awuku is constructing an astroturf in Akropong, roofing and ceiling of Akropong Salem School.
