The Greater Accra Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anthony Nukpenu, has expressed concerns about the current state of the judicial system in Ghana.
He described as politically tainted some legal practitioners in the country, due to their actions.
Speaking to Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah on the Angel Morning Show, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, Nukpenu said, “Currently it is clear that almost every member of the judiciary is tainted and are partisanly exposed personnel.’’
According to him, the country can develop only when leaders in various sectors perform their duties devoid of their political affiliation.
However, he doubted if the so-called leaders could change their behaviour since they have been “tainted politically.”
He added, saying, “The judiciary is filled with tainted NPP and coloured members of the party leading to the gradual retrogression of the country.”
