VIDEO: 70-year-old partially blind retiree steals show at Ken Agyapong’s showdown walk

Patrons of the showdown walk organised in honour of Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, were surprised to see a 70-year-old retired health worker donned in the showdown attire partaking in the exercise.

The man who is retired health worker and has performed surgery on both eyes because of glaucoma started walking at Oyibi and ended at Madina where he joined the thousands to celebrate what they described as the impending victory of the flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Agyapong.

According to him, he left his base in Adeiso in the Eastern Region with the blessings of his retired wife to partake in the exerice.

“I know this walk would be a profitable venture because it would lead to my grandchildren getting employed someday…,” he told the media.

To him, the Assin Central Legislator remains the best person to rescue the country from the shackles of poverty and hence he is prepared to sacrifice for him.
