Spokesperson for the Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia campaign team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has warned 2024 Independent Presidential candidate, Alan Kyeremanten to be warry of his breakaway from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Kyeremanten on Monday, September 25, 2023, announced his resignation from the ruling NPP to propel him as part of his strategies to contesting the 2024 elections.

Reacting to this announcement on Angel Morning Show, Dennis Miracles Aboagye said the once vibrant NPP member will be treated like any other oppostion leader once he has decided to resign from the NPP.

“…We will treat him like any other opposition party till he finally decides to rejoin the [NPP] party…,” he said.

Mr. Aboagye further described Mr Kyeremanten’s plea to Ghanaians to vote for NPP parliamentary candidates and himself in the 2024 polls as “unfortunate and very disappointing.”

“…It is a very disappointing statement, and this tells us the level of contradiction in his thoughts and opinion. He sees the party as irrelevant once he is not the President,” he added.

The former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Akuapem North stated that the party is focused on how to make Vice President, Dr. Bawumia its flagbearer.
