A Council of State member, Enoch Teye Mensah popularly known as ET Mensah has died, Angelonline.com.gh can confirm.
The country’s longest-serving Youth and Sports Minister died in South Africa on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 10:00 PM after battling undisclosed illness.
Personal Assistant to the late former Ningo Prampram MP, Simon Kweku Tetteh, said Mr Mensah was receiving medical attention until the occurrence of the death.
ET Mensah was also a one time Minister for Education under the erstwhile late Jerry John Rawlings’ administration.
Mr. Mensah was elected as the representative of the Council of State for the Greater Accra Region in February 2021.
Born May 17, 1946, he was married and left behind six children.
