Host of Angel Morning Show, Okatakyie Afrifa–Mensah has jabbed former Agriculture Minister, Dr. Owusu Afriyie-Akoto for seeking to become the Presdent of Ghana.

According to the vocal morning show host, the former Agric Minister who is one of the four persons seeking to lead the NPP into the 2024 elections is not fit to lead the country.

Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto will face Kennedy Agyapong, Vice President Dr. Bawumia and Francis Addai-Nimo on November 4, 2023 in his bid to lead the party as flagbearer for the party ahead of the 2024 general election.

Speaking on dwindling leadership fortunes of the country, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah said Ghana needs leaders with maximum energy to rule the country and not aged people like Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto.

“The country does not need people with low energy like Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto to lead it,” he said during the Monologue section of his show.

He noted the youth have the maximum energy to drive the country and hence needs to be given the chance to rule the country.

“America has developed because they had people within the 48 to 50 years bracket ruling them from onset…”, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah cited.

He was also of the view that Dr. Afriyie Akoto has no sense of urgency to achieve anything for the country adding that he is only seeking to use the opportunity to fulfill his self-actualisation needs.

“Afriyie Akoto has no sense of urgency to achieve anything. He just wants to fulfill the Maslow Theory of Needs,” Okatakyie said.
