A former Member of Parliament (MP) La – Dadekotopon, Nii Amasah Namoale has added his voice to the current Akosombo dam spillage and the displacement of residents in parts of the Volta Region.

Speaking on Angel Morning Show on Monday, the former Law Maker, accused the government the President of turning a deaf ear to the plight of the people of Volta Region.

“He was in Ghana when John Mahama visited the Tongu residents but he didn’t issue any press statement…,” he stated.

He further accused the Vice President, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia of also failing to act on the issue as he ‘busy campaigning’.

“What did the vice president do when he was acting as President, nothing…he was rather focused on campaigning,” he said.

He opined that that the President was pushed by the actions of John Mahama, Alan Kyeremanten and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to act on the plight of the voltarians.

“If John Dramani Mahama, Alan Kyeremanten and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa hadn’t gone there, the President wouldn’t have been there,” he claimed.
