Political Analyst and a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Richard Amoako Baah, has said he is considering legally challenging the outcome of the party’s just ended Presidential Primaries.

Dr. Amoako Baah who is concerned that the voting process was greeted with vote buying said he will test the law to ensure the credibility of the polls.

His threat follows a series of accusations from a section of the delegates who claimed monies paid to them by some presidential aspirants were peanuts and thus demanded a top-up.

Speaking to Okatakyei Afrifa-Mensah on the Angel Morning Show, Dr Amoako Baah described the entire exercise as “vote buying.”

Against this backdrop, he threatened to take the matter to court and pray the court declares the election results “null and void.”

“Consider instances where delegates were crying foul and boldly saying an amount worth GH¢400 given to them was not enough.

Look, if this country had been a serious country, my brother someone should have taken the election to court since the process is illegal.”

He pointed out that “I’m thinking about it… I’ll take the NPP election to court.”

The NPP stalwart who played an integral role in the party’s triumph in 2016 lashed out at the behavior of the delegates, saying they followed their selfish interest at the expense of the betterment of their future.

Asked if his actions would not deter the ruling party’s chances of retaining power in 2024 or breaking the eight-year term, a bothered Dr. Baah said he was “careless” because the NPP has recently refused to justify the trust reposed in them by Ghanaians.

He continued and prayed for a collapse of the ruling party following the presidential primary to enable them rediscover its purposes when the self centered nuts are axed.
