Government spokesperson on Governance and Security, Palgrave Boakye-Danquah has stated that breaking the eight is not about partisanship but patriotism.

Speaking on Angel Morning Show on Monday, November 6, 2023, Mr Boakye-Danquah said it would be in the interest of the country for the NPP under the leadership of the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to break the eight so they can continue with their good works.

“Breaking the eight is not about partisanship gains but patriotism and knowing that Ghana deserves consistency, focus and follow through and not political bickering and divisions. We will break the eight in unity, govern in unity, regardless of the margin of our victory, we will govern in the interest of hundred percent of Ghanaians,” he told host, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.

He was of the view that the contest for the election of the flagbearer was keenly contested and was free and fair adding that Dr. Bawumia beat his opponents overwhelmingly and convincingly winning in 14 regions.

According to the Abuakwa North Parliamentary Aspirant, the vision of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is to build an inclusive food self-sufficient data-driven and system base nation that will participate in the global digital revolution to solve Ghana’s problems and also usher the country into a golden age of benefits from all our natural resources.

He concluded that with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the NPP flagbearer what some Ghanaians termed as impossible is possible.
