Presidential aspirant for the 2024 elections, Akwasi Addae, popularly known as Odike, has assured of a better Ghana post the era of the Nana Akufo-Addo administration.

Speaking on Angel Morning Show on Monday, February 19, 2024, Odike said Akufo-Addo as President has created more suffering for the citizenry with his bad governance.

He said the President was aided by “friends and chronic” appointees who had an agenda before they assumed office in 2017.

“President Akufo-Addo has created suffering for Ghanaians. There’s nothing we can say Nana Addo has achieved for Ghanaians – looking at his organisational behaviour for the government, he came in with his friends and chronic, had an agenda to come and milk the country and indeed some of them have supported him to succeed in their setting,” he told Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, host of the show.

In the view of the United Progressive Party (UPP) flagbearer, “from the very first day he assumed the presidency, he had a well-calculated agenda, and that has been a true reflection of what’s manifesting in his governance.”

For that reason, Odike called on Ghanaians to “put aside everything about Akufo-Addo because nothing of him is good.”
