Ghana will become better again after Akufo-Addo – Odike

The founder and leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Akwasi Addai, also known as Odike has called on the President, Nana Akufo-Addo to reshuffle himself because Ghanaians are disappointed in him.

Speaking on Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Monday, 19 February 2024, Odike who has been preaching Union Government as the solution to Ghana’s governance challenges said the only news that would have pleased Ghanaians was an announcement that President Akufo-Addo has ‘reshuffled himself’.

“Does Akufo-Addo understand the word reshuffle? If he indeed understands that word, then he should have reshuffled himself first before thinking of his Ministers,” he said during a panel discussion on the show.

The business mogul’s comment was in reaction to the ministerial reshuffling which occurred last week.

To him, Akufo-Addo reshuffling himself from the presidency would have been the greatest news as he claims the President has woefully disappointed Ghanaians.

Akwasi Addai further called for a check in the power of the President.

“The power given to the Presidents is too much, which leads to them appointing cronies as ministers to help steal from the nation, so we have to check it,” he argued.
