The Member of Parliament for Akim Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, says the resignation of Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu as the Majority Leader is a voluntary decision in order to fully concentrate on his mandate as the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party’s 2024 Election Manifesto Committee.

“Today, the [Majority] Leader has voluntarily stepped aside to help Dr. Bawumia’s 2024 Election Manifesto Committee,” Mr. Acquah told Okatakyie Mensah Afrifa, host of the morning show on Angel 102.9 FM and Angel TV on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

The MP commended the outgoing Suame Constituency representative in Parliament who is also the immediate-past Leader of Government Business, for accepting to Chair the Committee.

“I use this opportunity to congratulate Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu for accepting to assist in the drafting of Dr. Bawumia’s 2024 Manifesto for Ghanaians and for that matter he can’t handle both duties that’s why he has stepped aside for a new person to lead in Parliament,” he added.
