The Director of Operations for the Progressive Peoples Party, Divine Nkrumah has suggested the need of establishing a National Sports Festival to discover new talents for international competitions.
Appearing on Angel Morning Show( Freedom), Divine Nkrumah highlighted the need for developing a national sports festival that will host all the regions to a competition in order to unearth individuals who will represent the nation on the international fronts.
“I suggest we have national sports festival that will start from the various regions to help us get new sports men who will perform for the country internationally”, he said.
He however expressed his disappointment in the lack of unkept facilities and lack of maintenance, amidst the huge investment in infrastructure in the just ended African Games.
“All the facilities that were built are not good and the maintenance culture too is bad. When we take a back look at the stadium Kuffor build, it’s looking very bad and it’s not well kept,” he added.
