Former Ghanaian AIDS Ambassador and Musician, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has expressed her gratitude towards Meiway as she claims her song has been a psychological therapy for her.

In an interview with Angel FM on ‘Y’aduma nie’ programme on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, Joyce pointed out  that the Ivory Coast singer, played a crucial role in helping her overcome depression through his song titled “Watch mi body”.

She expressed her gratitude towards Meiway stating; “I met Meiway at Hamburg and I even presented a flower to him that was about two years ago when I was depressed. It was through one of his songs that inspired me and saved me, which was titled “Watch mi body”.

Despite not understanding the language of the song, she found interest in the instrumentals, which resonated with her deeply.

“I don’t really understand the song but the instrumentals in the song were speaking to my soul and this made me loved it more and I’ve been in touch with him for a long time,” she told host of the show, Ohemaa Woyeje.

Joyce revealed that as a sign of gratitude, she has tattooed the face of her idol, Meiway at her back.
