IMANI Ghana, the policy think-tank has responded to the call made by Ghanaian actress for a collaboration to hold the government accountable for the power crisis through demonstration.

However, the President of the policy, Franklin Cudjoe, has asked the latter to organise her protest but was quick to acknowledge the actresses’ partnership call and described it as a “fair call.”

Yvonne Nelson proposes holding vigil against ‘dumsor’ crisis

According to him, they have embarked on steps to organise a protest against the government on the country’s recent power crisis, adding that “we will make the call and choose how we demonstrate and who we want to partner at the right time.”

“We have heard the call by the redoubtable Ms. Yvonne Nelson for round two of #dumsormuststop. Fair call even as we (IMANI) have maintained our criticism of government’s bad decisions for what often seem like a rudderless leadership, the latest dumsor episodes being the zenith.

“So, as you can see (T-shirts), we are preparing and we will make the call and choose how we demonstrate and who we want to partner at the right time,” he said in a post on Facebook.

Franklin Cudjoe further said, “Others can also organise their own unique protests in churches, mosques, bars, schools, and homes.”
