The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah described as a political witch-hunting, the decision by the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice to attempt to secure a conviction against Minority Leader in the Ambulance case.

According to Mr Nketiah, the claim by the latter that Minority Leader, Casel Ato Forson, imported empty vehicles as Ambulances and therefore, caused financial loss to the state are all blatant lies that have no proof.

He opined that the 30 Ambulances shipped into the country in 2015 have the necessary fittings in them making it mischievous, the accusation by the governing NPP that the NDC of brought in mere vehicles as Ambulances.

He added that NDC under the guidance of the then deputy Minister of Finance (Ato Forson), brought in three containers loaded with medical equipment which were to be used for installation and spare parts of the Ambulances but the Ministry of Health refused to clear the containers since 2016.

He, however, called on President Akufo-Addo to sack the Attorney-General Mr Godfred Yeboah Dame from his position because his behaviour is unethical.

He stressed that failure by the president to act would confirm the NDC’s suspicion of Mr Dame working in the interest of the NPP and not Ghana.

He further assured Ghanaians that the Next NDC Government will ensure that the A-G is prosecuted.
