Akufo-Addo hails AG’s dedication to Justice following completion of Law House Complex

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commended the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, for his crucial role in seeing to the completion of the Law House Office Complex.

He praised the Attorney General for his relentless efforts in ensuring the project’s completion, despite numerous challenges. This is against the backdrop that the project had stalled for almost 23 years.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony yesterday in Accra, President Akufo-Addo said, “We overcame numerous challenges, including delays and procurement issues, to ensure the building’s completion.”

He praised the Attorney General for his dedication and vision, which have been instrumental in bringing the project to fruition.

The modern Law House Building Complex, a state-of-the-art office complex designed for the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, boasts a 12-storey structure with two-level basements, providing ample office space for the Ministry’s headquarters and convenient parking facilities.

It also features modern amenities, including a library, conference rooms, and a courtroom, designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Judiciary.

President Akufo-Addo emphasised the importance of a fair and just legal system in promoting economic growth, democracy, and human rights.

According to him, the Law House Building Complex was a testament to his government’s commitment to modernising the country’s judicial infrastructure.

He indicated that the commissioning of the complex marked a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to strengthen the rule of law and promote access to justice for all Ghanaians.

In return, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, expressed his gratitude to the President for his support and vision in bringing the project to fruition.

He noted that the facility will enhance their efficiency and productivity, enabling them to better serve the nation.

He reassured that “Together, we are committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice for all Ghanaians.”

The Attorney General, however, lamented that the lack of basic tools and resources had hindered his ministry’s ability to effectively serve the nation.

The Contractor, Mustek, Michael Zormelo, also praised the Attorney General for his relentless drive for perfection and timely execution.

He said, “We have learned much from his dedication and vision, which have been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition.”

He expressed his company’s gratitude to Mustek Engineering, acknowledging their unwavering commitment to excellence in bringing the Law House to life.

Before delivering his keynote address, President Akufo-Addo was taken on a tour of the facility, inspecting the various offices and amenities.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including the judges, lawyers, and other stakeholders in the legal profession.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo, Deputy Attorneys General and Minister of Justice, Dinah Asona Dapaah, and Alfred Tuah-Yeboah.

Also in attendance were judges, lawyers, and other stakeholders in the legal profession.
