We’re going to force NDC to speak to issues – New Juaben South MCE

In a pointed critique of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Municipal Chief Executive of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly, Isaac Appaw-Gyasi, has expressed concerns about the party’s decision to field former President John Mahama as their presidential candidate in this year’s election.

According to Appaw-Gyasi, this move is a strategic blunder that could significantly impact the NDC’s chances at the polls.

Appaw-Gyasi argues that Mahama, despite his past leadership experience, John Mahama lacks the innovation and vision needed to navigate the current challenging times.

“It really worries me when the NDC tries to drag us back while we are making efforts to move forward,” he remarked.

He highlighted the party’s past opposition to initiatives like the Ghana Card, led by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as evidence of their reluctance to embrace progress.

The Municipal Chief Executive who was speaking on the Angel Morning Show on Tuesday didn’t mince words when discussing Mahama’s candidacy.

“One of the biggest mistakes the NDC has made is bringing back former President John Mahama as their flagbearer. The man is simply out of fresh ideas that could guide us through these challenging times,” Appaw-Gyasi said.

In contrast, Appaw-Gyasi praised Dr. Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer for his forward-thinking approach.

“When you listen to Dr. Bawumia, you realize that his ideas are fresh and reflect a readiness to lead the country through its current challenges,” he noted.
