Even NDC communicators are confused about 24-hour economy – Appaw-Gyasi

NDC have no right to complain about ‘dumsor’ – Appau-Gyasi

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juabeng South Municipality in the Eastern Region, Isaac Appaw-Gyasi, has raised serious doubts about the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and their much-touted 24-hour economy campaign promise.

According to Appaw-Gyasi, the NDC is riddled with confusion, so much so that their flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has shied away from engaging in a presidential debate.

“I’m not surprised at all by Mahama’s reluctance to debate Dr. Bawumia…it’s clear that his statements don’t add up,” Appaw-Gyasi.

Appaw-Gyasi further criticized Mahama for what he sees as a lack of coherence in the former president’s policy proposals.

“Mahama is just going around making promises that he himself doesn’t fully understand,” he claimed.

“By now, he should have clearly outlined his policies and ideas to convince the public, but instead, he’s talking about a 24-hour economy without even grasping the concept.”

The MCE further took aim at senior NDC members, including Asiedu Nketiah and Felix Ofosu Kwakye, suggesting that they, too, are in the dark about their own flagbearer’s policy.

“The confusion at the top of the party makes me seriously question whether this policy was even thought through before it was proposed,” he said.

The 24-hour economy policy, introduced by Mahama months ago, has faced significant criticism, with many questioning its feasibility and the details of how it would be implemented. Appaw-Gyasi’s comments add to the growing skepticism surrounding the NDC’s flagship campaign promise.
