Ghana’s development must be built on values, not just infrastructure – Chief of Staff

The 2024 running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has said that the government is focused on making Cocoa farmers benefit more from their sweat in the new cocoa season.

NAPO who was addressing a mini-rally in Noberkaw in the Asunafo South Constituency of the Ahafo Region said the yet-to-be announced price for the new cocoa season is factoring the interests of farmers hence called on all to be rest assured the government will surprise everyone.

“We will make cocoa farmers feel proud, we will give the money to them so that they can purchase fertilisers for their farms…in less than three days, we will announce coca prices that will shock everyone…,” he said.

The increment, he added, is part of government’s efforts to making sure that Cocoa farmers also become rich and have enough purchasing power to live good lives.

The Nifahene of Noberkaw, Nana Osei Yaw Dwomor while speaking at the mini-rally praised the Akufo-Addo administration for bringing unprecedented developments to his district in the last eight years.

Noberkaw, he said, has benefited significantly from the free SHS, Agenda 111 among other policies and hence called on Ghanaians to vote to retain the NPP in power.
