The Director of Communications for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah has expressed strong belief that Ghana’s economy will succeed under Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s leadership.

Ahiagbah called on Ghanaians to back Bawumia in the forthcoming elections, stressing that his presidency will enhance living conditions for the populace.

His appeal comes at the back of a favorable economic forecast from Fitch Solutions, which anticipates Ghana’s economic growth to increase from 2.9% in 2023 to a three-year peak of 5.5% in 2024.

This encouraging projection reflects the government’s ongoing initiatives to stabilize and improve the economy, laying a solid groundwork for future advancement.

He highlighted that, recent statistics from the Ghana Statistical Service further support this positive trend, revealing that the economy expanded by an impressive 6.9% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2024, following a solid 4.8% growth in the first quarter. These figures signify a strong recovery and strengthen Ahiagbah’s case for electing Bawumia as president.

In a statement on his X platform, Ahiagbah underscored Bawumia’s dependability and past achievements, asserting that he is a trustworthy leader committed to fulfilling his promises to the nation.

He urged voters to take into account the favorable economic indicators and the potential for continued growth when making their decisions.
