The Tema West Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwasi Poku Bosompem has claimed that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s popularity cannot be compared to any Vice President in the history of Ghana’s politics.
He opined in his argument that the NPP 2024 Presidential Candidate tops all former Vice Presidents of the country who at a point in time deputied a sitting president.
Mr. Poku in his pronouncement during Thursday’s edition of the Angel Morning Show discussion segment acknowledged Dr. Bawumia’s contributions to the governing party’s achievement under President Akufo-Addo.
Speaking to Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah the host of the show, he described the Vice President as “vibrant”, indicating that Dr. Bawumia has been proactive as a vice unlike others.
“Bawumia is the most popular Vice President ever in the history of Ghana. If you asked me about the vice President of former President Dr. Hilla Liman I would tell you that I don’t know because these people were not active as vice. But Bawumia is very vibrant,” he pointed out.
“A vice president that has contributed to the country either positively or negatively is Bawumia,” Kwasi Poku asserted in his argument.
He further postulated that not even the former president John Dramani Mahama who once occupied the vice presidency seat can be compared to Dr. Bawumia irrespective of his flaws.
