The Constituency Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Tema West, Kwasi Poku Bosompem has asked the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to forget about canvassing votes in the area ahead of the December 7, 2024, elections.

He declared that while he continues to hold the chairmanship position of the governing party in Tema West, it will become “a no-go area” for the NDC regarding vote counts.

“Me, not under my watch can John Mahama be president by winning the Tema West seat. It is not possible and will not happen,” he stated emphatically on the Angel Morning Show hosted by Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

According to the vociferous NPP chairman, his commitment and value to the party and its Vice President who doubles as the presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is deep therefore he will ensure they win the seat in Tema West in complementing the latter’s presidency dream.

Mr. Poku in addition, said, “Because I value them…, Bajowumia as Vice President so I want to place that value on him.”

He pledged to continue offering his unwavering support to the NPP to ensure that the party remains in power with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as a president-elect after December 7.

He used the platform and called on Ghanaians to consider the good works executed by the NPP over their flaws and give them another nod to help break the eight-year electoral cycle.
