Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has expressed his disappointment in the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his New Patriotic Party (NPP), labeling his governance as the ‘worse’ in Ghana’s history.
He stated that since the NPP took over the government eight years ago, he had hoped they would fulfill their promises, however, he believes they have failed to do so. According to him, Ghanaians can testify that their governance is the worst.
According to the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he thanked God for giving Nana Addo and his Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the opportunity to govern adding that if the NDC had won the 2016 general election, Ghanaians would have said that the NPP would have done better than the NDC.
“There’s nothing that they could do to please Ghanaians,” he said.
John Mahama further explained that, the NPP criticized the NDC while they were in government, according to him, they had nothing to compare against. Now, after being in power for eight years, the NPP has not fulfilled its promises.
He stated, “Ghanaians can now compare the governance of both the NDC and NPP. The NPP makes noise, yet they could not fulfill all their promises.”
He urged Ghanaians to recognize that the NPP has nothing more to offer them.
