The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is very optimistic of securing majority of Parliamentary seats in the Central Region in the upcoming 2024 General Elections, the party’s organiser, Henry Nana Boakye has said.

Nana B who was speaking on Angel Morning Show on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 said the party is adequately prepared to flip several Parliamentary seats as well.

Historically, the Central Region has been a swing region between the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). In the 2020 elections, the NDC secured 13 seats, while the NPP won 10 seats in the region representing 56.5% and 43.5% respectively.

But Nana B believed the NPP would win big this time around reflecting the party’s strategic focus on increasing its representation in this key region.

“Central Region; yes, in the last elections, President Akufo-Addo won the presidential decisively and then we lost some seats. But this time around, I’m emphatically telling you today that there are a lot of seats we are going to flip,” he said.

A confident Nana B who is also a Lawyer by profession reiterated saying “we are going to have majority seats in Central Region and I’m very very optimistic.”

He said the NPP’s nationwide campaign including the Central Region with outreach programs aimed at addressing Ghanaian’s needs underscores the NPP’s dedication to strengthening its presence in the region and achieving electoral success in the upcoming elections.
